It doesn’t even exist yet, but that doesn’t stop people wanting it. A study by Crowd Science has discovered that 40 per cent of current BlackBerry users are going to ditch their phone at the next upgrade opportunity in favour of the next gen iPhone from Apple.
Blackberry were once the smartphone of choice for every business man/woman, but now it seems that the large attractive touchscreens are pulling users away.
Furthermore, 32% of Blackberry users said they would look at the Google Nexus One as their next smartphone.
Even better news for both Apple and Android because 90% of those surveyed said they were happy with their current brands and wouldn’t consider changing, so it appears they’ve got some pretty loyal customers.
The latest comScore report shows that Apple still has the #2 smartphone in the US just below RIM. And while both RIM and Apple are holding their market share tightly, Android is rapidly growing.
