Next Generation iPhone To Have LED Camera With Flash

Apparently the next iPhone from Apple will have a 5 megapixel camera with a built in flash. According to a report from Apple Insider, Apple have ordered a large number of cameras with flash for 2010. OmniVision, the same company which supplied the 3.2 megapixel CIS for Apple’s iPhone 3GS has won the contract for supplying Apple with 5 megapixel CMOS image sensors for the next generation iPhone.

It’s about time Apple got onto this, that is if it’s true, as nearly every smartphone out there today has flash, and in some cases, dual LED flash. So Apple are way behind on this front at the moment and it’s an obvious improvement that they could make for the next gen iPhone.
