Video Calls In The iPhone 4G?

Could the next generation iPhone have built in support for video calls? While many phones already have support for 3G video calls, the iPhone still has yet to get this feature. The back mounted camera probably doesn’t help that alot.

Well some new information that was uncovered in the 3.2 iPhone SDK from Apple shows some information relating to video calling technology. In the SDK there are Icons and software commands that hint at a front facing camera which could be used for video calling in the iPhone 4G.

Some people think that this video calling feature may be available in upcoming models of the iPhone and also the iPad. However, we have been dreaming of video calling in the iPhone for quite some time now, and we were almost certain the 3GS might have had it, but of course it didn’t.

Then again let me think, when have I ever used video calling on my phone? Em…never……
