With the Next Gen iPhone’s announcement date expected in June, it’s probably time we started to get some leaked images floating around the web of Apple’s next iPhone. We still don’t know the name for the next iPhone, but we’re hedging our bets on it either being iPhone 4G or iPhone HD.
Macrumors have received some images from an anonymous source showing what could very well be the back casing for the Next Generation iPhone.
It’s apparently inspired by the iPad and certainly does have some resemblance to it. It’s not bad looking but Im not sure how easy it would be to hold in your hand and use as a phone. Macrumors aren’t taking this source too serious as it could be a complete bluff but you never know.
We can see from the pictures that this is a 64GB model but there not of high enough resolution to make out the information beneath (may be done on purpose) which would reveal some interesting information such as the model number and FCC and IC ID numbers.
The casing shows cut outs for the traditionally iPhone physical features like the circular camera lens hole at the top left of the rear shell, space for a ring/silent switch and volume rocker along the side, and dock connector, microphone, speaker, and a pair of screw holes along the bottom.
However, metadata with the images does show that they’ve all passed through Photoshop CS4 at some stage, so I’ll leave it up to you to decide what to make of these pictures,
