Yesterday I wrote up an article about yet another iPhone 4G / iPhone HD Prototype that was found by a Vietnamese site. Well a bit more information has cropped up on the internet again today about it.
First off, a French site claimed to have got their hands on yet another iPhone 4G Prototype, but to cut a long story short, it was actually the same one found yesterday.
Secondly, the Vietnamese site posted another picture showing the iPhone 4G running what appears to be iPhone OS 4.0 , were not so certain this is true though since the device was/should have been locked down remotely be Apple, so unless they managed to get around this, I’m thinking it’s a bit of photoshop trickery because all we get is the lockscreen.
Then the Associated Press managed to track down Tran Manh Hiep, the mobile phone accessory salesman in Vietnam who posted the hands on video yesterday.
However the trail seems to end there, however, as Hiep isn’t the owner of the device. Apparently he rushed down to a cafe in Ho Chi Minh City after he heard someone was showing off the “top secret” device. He believes the phone is authentic, and said “when I plugged it into a Mac, it recognized it as an Apple product”.
Apparently the actual owner of the device is another Vietnamese mobile phone dealer, but Hiep said he did not know how the man got the iPhone.
So there’s another bit of information for you to mull over,
