Why anyone would is beyond me, but I guess not everybody follows this site or even logged onto the internet. If you were one of these people who didn’t somehow know about the iPhone 4 being announced you may have just gone ahead and bought an iPhone 3GS, only days before the new iPhone 4 is coming out.
Well if you’re one of these people and suffering serious buyers remorse, AT&T could have the solution for you. Basically, if you’ve bought an iPhone 3GS after the 7th of May you qualify for a upgrade to the iPhone 4 on June 27th when it’s released.

Now I’d advise against purchasing one now, but if you somehow have done it by accident there is still a way out of it for you without having to pay AT&T’s huge early termination fee.
