Now that the iPhone 4 is finally out, its only standard that we begin to see a couple of complaints raise there head. Now you may remember the new innovative design of the iPhone 4 that built the antenna directly into the frame.
Well it seems that its the cause of concern for some users.
Reports are coming in that you lose some if not all of your signal if you hold the handset a certain way.
So an email was sent off to Steve Jobs
Question – What’s going to be done about the signal dropping issue. Is it software or hardware?
Answer-
Non issue. Just avoid holding it in that way.
Gripping any phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.
And now this has become Apples official answer to the issue
