iOS 4.0.1 Update Now Live – Fixes Display Problem

Apple have now released the iOS 4.0.1 firmware update which will fix the display issue with the iPhone 4 (it wasn’t displaying signal strength correctly)

The update is available for the iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G and you can download it right now. But beware iPhone 4 users, this won’t solve you antenna issues, it will just give you a more accurate description of how low your signal is.

Basically all this update does is change the signal display (before and after to be seen below courtesy of Engadget)

So just to remind you, it doesn’t affect your signal strength at all, it just makes it more accurate.
