New Zealand iPhone 4 Launch Has Problems

Many Apple fans and enthusiast began queuing up late last night, in preparation for the iPhone 4 launch this morning. However, it was mysteriously put off at the last minute, sparking off chaos and confusion.

Thankfully for New Zealand users, the iPhone 4 eventually went on sale at Vodafone stores around midday. However there only appears to have been limited stock available. With one store reporting it only had 25 units in stock for it’s launch.

Severally people have called the launch an absolute disaster and an “epic fail”. So there is plenty of unhappy customers in New Zealand at the moment. Stock levels appear to be a minimum, even when the iPhone finally went on sale. Users were lining up from the early hours of the morning, only to be told at 8am that there was no iPhone 4′s available. They were then notified later in the day that stock would be available at 12 midday.

Vodafone have refused to comment on what caused the delay, or when they expect to get more stock, but it seems that a shipping delay is the problem.
