When Apple announced the iPhone 4, it was only going to be available in a few select countries at release, then in July it would be expanding to 18 more countries – Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
Spanish mobile phone company, Movistar has reportedly issued a series of tweets which indicate a July 28th launch date for the iPhone 4 in Spain, so we can only assume that this is the date for the other 17 countries as well.
You can see the tweets for yourself here for those of you who speak Spanish. But apparently once translated, the Movistar rep doesn’t guarantee the iPhone 4 will be released on the 28th, but it should be available by then as long as there are no unforeseen circumstances.
He even says that not even Steve Jobs knows about pricing yet.
So for now we will have to wait and see if we get anymore solid information, but I’d expect it to be around the end of this month.
