The iPhone 4 was the first time that we saw a flash built into the iPhone 4. The LED flash in the iPhone 4 can now be sued for taking pictures as well as recording videos. But now you can do even more with it, you can use it as a flashlight.
Yes, Apple has in fact allowed some apps to use your iPhones 4′s LED Flash as a flashlight into the notorious App Store. Some are free, some aren’t, but at least they’re there.
There’s already over 50 flashlight apps flooding the app store, with some sporting “advanced” features such as SOS modes and so allowing you to change the blink rate of the LED flash.

I guess using your iPhone 4 as a flashlight will come in handy sometimes, just make sure you’re near a charger!
