Even though Apple sort of cleared up the whole Antennagate issue, they still haven’t addressed the issue with the proximity sensor. The problem is apparently a software issue and it causes users to accidental press buttons with their face while making a call which frequently results in accidentally ended calls.
It was hoped that this issue would be fixed in iOS 4.1 as Steve Jobs did promise an update for it, but according to an Apple Spokesperson the issue wont be cleared up in iOS 4.1
The Next Web Reports that an Apple Australia Spokesman has confirmed that there working on an update, but it wont be ready in time for iOS 4.1
Now whether or not this is true remains to be seen, but I doubt people will be too happy with a couple more months of randomly hanging up during calls.
