How To Get Flash On The iPhone 4

I don’t think I need to tell any of you about the whole ordeal surrounding flash on the iPhone and Steve Jobs reaction to it, so I’m going to dive straight in here and let you all know, that you can now get flash on the iPhone 4!

So how do you do it? Well it’s quite simple,

1.First you are going to have to jailbreak your iPhone 4.

2.Then you need to go to Cydia and search for and install OpenSSH. Now reboot your phone

3.Now connect your phone to your computer and make sure iTunes is not running.

4.Then you need to use an SSH client, so either Cyberduck for Mac or WinSCP for Windows

5.Now use these details below to log into your iPhone

Cyberduck

  • >Server: The IP address of your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Settings –> WiFi –> <Your”>Network Name>
  • Username: root
  • Password: alpine
  • Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)

WinSCP

  • Hostname: The IP address of your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Setting –> WiFi –> <Your Network Name>
  • User name: root
  • Password: alpine
  • Protocol: SCP

6.Next your going to want to download Frash from here

7.And now, Navigate to /var/root/Media directory (in your SSH program) and create a folder named “Cydia”. Inside this Cydia folder, create another folder and name it “AutoInstall”.

8.Now copy the Frash file into the “AutoInstall” folder.

9.Then disconnect your iPhone and exit out of the SSH programs and restart your iPhone 4.

That’s it then, next time you go onto a flash site you should see the “Flash” text, simply click it and you should have some basic flash support! Not quite as good as Android, but it’s better than nothing.
