Now I know we get rumors in on the iPhone in the dozen, but when it comes to carriers, it’s generally related to Verizon, and while we have had some relating to T-Mobile in the past, this is the first time we’ve had one from a fairly reliable source.
According to Wired Magazines editor in chief, Chris Anderson, T-Mobile will be getting the iPhone 3GS (not the iPhone 4) on their network in late 2010. If this turns out to be true, T-Mobile will become the first carrier other than AT&T to offer the iPhone in the US.
What was Chris’s source for this news? Well apparently he was having a chat with one of the T-Mobile managers, who casually mentioned that there getting the iPhone 3GS later this year.
It’s odd that if they really are brining the iPhone to their network, you’d think they would be bringing the latest and greatest that Apple have to offer.
We’ll have to wait and see if this one turns out to be true, of if it’s just another rumor
