One of the most notable features of the iPhone 4 is its incredible Retina Display which is unmatched by any other smartphone or device to date. That was until, or at least we thought, the iPod Touch 4G when Steve Jobs announced it last week.

The iOS 4.1 Beta 3 came out just a couple of days ago, and now we’ve had a chance to find out what’s new in it. In this latest edition of the iPhone firmware, Apple have added a new option in in “Contacts” which allows users to make FaceTime calls using a phone number or email address.

While we generally focus on the next gen iPhone on this site, I think it’s also important to cover some events that are unfolding around the next gen iPod Touch as they are so alike.
Today leaked images have appeared from Vietnam which show the iPod Touch with a 2 Megapixel camera in the back. This comes from the same source that leaked the iPhone 4G the other day as well.

According to a report from Mashable, the Next Gen iPhone, be it the iPhone 4G or iPhone HD, whatever it is, is going to go on sale during the WWDC on June 7th. Or so they’ve been told by sources familiar with the situation.

Some enthusiasts have been digging around the internal file systems of the iPad and they found something more than they bargained for. Hidden away, they have found pretty much conformation of the next generation iPhone along with a new iPod Touch and even a 2nd gen iPad!

Toshiba has announced it has created the world’s first 64GB NAND chips, building on the 32GB NAND packages it launched in the spring this year. They are saying that they will be available for major production from the beginning of 2010.
