Unlike their neighbors New Zealand, the Aussies seemed to have no problem releasing the iPhone 4. In fact it seemed like it was more of a party than a mad rush to get in the doors.
The iPhone 4 went on sale there at midnight, with carriers Optus, Telstra and Vodafone/3 bending over backwards to ensure the wait was an event in itself.

We’ve all been getting our hopes up for a June release for the iPhone 4G, we’ve heard it could be at WWDC or in mid June. These dates sound reasonable especially when you consider that the iPhone 4Gs was announced on June 8th last year and went on sale 11 days later.

Finally! We have the official news from Apple themselves, Mr. Steve Jobs announced that the iPhone 4 will be available from June 24th in 5 countries US, France, Germany, UK, Japan with pre orders starting tomorrow
